I was recommended to start rowing and apparently I have a real talent for it. My first time ever on an erg was 6:32, the goal now is exploring if I can really handle rowing at a weekly level, and if my numbers improve I would compete. Will post here about things and updates

>>601 Training is still going, I didn't go rowing today in the morning as it was a rest day, I realize that I need atleast 2 rest days from rowing in the morning. Yesterday I did something I had never done which was genuinely scary at first, we dove head first into deep (12 feet deep water) others had already done head diving, but I had not, I was asked to dive headfirst, then swim, and I did it twice. God it was weird and strange but I did it
>>607 Fear is a type of thing you dont expect to encounter, and it cannot be reasoned with, the only antidote to it is to just have faith and jump. The water is a great example for great psychological fears, and you cant help but feel something if you havent done a particular thing, I can swim and tread deep waters just fine, but Id never done something like front diving, so ofcourse despite seeing it and knowing its safe my body doesnt know. This is partly why I love all of this so much, its a chance to feel the real world, it's so much more better than just thinking about things all day
Hello :) I want to improve my physique now since I have managed to lose a lot of weight Btw I am that kalej guy who posted updates on bhach I live in a hostel which is in a remote place. So there is no access of gyms. Well there was one but the gym trainer made fun of me when I failed to lift the metal bar even without weights. Most of the people present were giggling. I stopped going there and I don't want to go there ever again I am already socially awkward and I'd rather hang myself than go outside where I'd be made fun of. I have managed to lose weight on my own I just want to look fit now. I have no money but I do have a desire. I am consistent that is all I am capable of. I want my chest and stomach to look nice also my arms they are flabby af. Please advice me on how to fix that I would be very grateful. I have attached the pics of my progress I apologize if it looks disgusting I cannot change it. Thank you for taking the time to read my thread :)

>>629 same yaar I have come to truly detest these shallow, two faced people ever since I gained higher cognition and seen them for what they really are in college Not a single woman coherent of long-term plans for the future. Not a single woman with actual interests she didn't get from some instagram trend. Not a single woman who bothers talking about anything worth talking about, politics, ideology, cosmology and quantum mechanics, electrical engineering and mathematics, sociology or epistemology. It just pisses me off so much how I have to deal with these emotional retards. Not like the men in my college are any good either
Tried cooking chicken breast for first time in hostel. Ordering sucks it has too much oil. Kind of general taste but I cooked so it was no less.
>>78 Daal is one of the best things for garib people that you can actually have Then beans, peas quinoa, chia, linseed, amaranth, eggs, milk, quark, cream, butter, meats of all kinds (ideally fresh) and lots of salmon, tuna and shrimps. Vegetables are for mix in to keep you satisfied. And then comes spices, they give vitamins and taste even when its just matrix soup again. I love Indian spices and chili.

>>586 hi, I wake up at 5 almost everyday. What works for me is that I take melatonin ofc, but beyond that, I have the gym in the morning. I used to not be able to wake up because i had nothing to do, so without anywhere to show up I could sleep till 2pm, but if you set an aim for something and do it seriously you'll find that you WILL sleep. Nowadays I force myself to sleep, even if I cant, because I know i have to be up, there is a responsibility and I pay for it if I sleep late. Essentially all of lifes problems, (sleep, women, money) are solved by one single direction. I have a real direction that guides me away from nihilism, so EVERYTHING starts to matter, sleep matters, mood matters, the workout, the work, the people, it all matters. Once you have something you actually want, you can do anything
>>600 I've been doing my regular training (rowing which means high cardio with lifting) and also swimming, which makes everything important, If I miss out on sleep I pay for it, if I miss a meal I pay for it. Ive found that life doesnt work well when you make it easier, life gets better when you add more shit (ofc, there are limits) you cannot take it easy, you cannot just expect to keep taking it easy beyond a certain point, the more you add the more you handle, the better you become. I used to not do anything, so I did nothing, couldnt maintain even the basics. I cant do basics, I am not a person who can just do basics, I have to do it well or else I will be nihilistic. My spirit is driven by large forces or it wont move. When its moving I can do anything, so I know that I need to keep it moving, theres too much at stake to watch shorts at 12 am.

>>577 from clanker - The main difference is hand position: pull-ups use an overhand grip (palms away) to target your back and lats. Chin-ups use an underhand grip (palms facing you), allowing your biceps to help out, which generally makes them easier to perform. >>568 do lat exercise and become stronger?
How do I attain enlightenment through Vipassana meditation? I'm American btw if that matters.
>>501 i googled it and it seems like thing they made us do in school. we did the first step of this anapana. essentially your goal is to not think of anything for a while and youse your breathing as a way to bring restore that state. if a thought or something comes to you you are supposed to notice without judgement and ignore. google told me there is a level 2 and 3 but we never tried that

>physical activity - any sport (cricket is just standing around try something else) + workout >calorie deficit is just depriving of nutrients. bulk or at least maintain till growth is over completely >on paper you stopped but many people see a few inches even after 18. not drastically but you may see 2-3 more inches maybe more >swimming helps a lot. do it if possible 165at 19 means you are already behind but you can still make the best of this situation
