Picrel is lemuria at it's peak geographic extent, in the 2060s or 70s. In this althist the French won the Carnatic wars against the brits, establishing the French colony of Dravidia. Dravidia won it's independence after a war modelled upon the the American war of independence.

Dravidia was one of the first countries to win a war against a colonial power, it won it's independence all the way back in the 1890s to 1910s (I haven't fixed a time). It was an elite led revolution, which was highly structured and coordinated like the american revolution. It was not a mass uprising, nor a peacefull non cooperation thing, it was an appeal to heaven, man carving destiny and fighting against unfathomable odds. Like how the America required French support, the brits provided arms to dravidia to overcome the french. Establishing dravidia. A relatively isolated country untill WW2. During WW2, due to france's weaking this provided dravidia an oppurtunity to "conquer" the other indian ocean french colonies with the support of the local populace. The whole thing is a federalistic structure, the country of Lemuria.
