Cabinet approved the ₹84,008 crore Samudra Manthan programme to accelerate offshore oil and gas exploration over 5 years. The scheme targets 600+ MMTOE of reserve additions through deepwater drilling, 3D seismic surveys and shared offshore infrastructure.
