Currently my job description is literally handling ultra, I mean really like basically people who could buy me a car willy-nilly, my job right now is to convince them of basic, managerial and marketing decisions, I sit on call for hours with them trying to convince them of basic, basic facts. The only reason they like talking to me it seems is because I dont sound like a poor.

There is literally no formal description, I am employed officially by a 3 people and working unofficially for 12, and they never ask for job qualifications or such and I got in because my dad knew a guy. The actual nature of the work is social media related but I dont do that, that I delegate to other people and meanwhile help people out personally

I literally just got off a meeting trying to convince this woman to pay me more to actually do something and I think I've got it, Ill have to fly out and work alongside with her but it's fine. I dont plan on doing this for long but its nice to do something instead of laying around doing nothing.

All you gotta know is that some of these people really, really expect you to know how to talk. If you're talking to Doon grads who went abroad to study they kinda expect you to know history and literature and allat, not too deeply (although some people have given me a run for the money) but enough to understand them. Sometimes, and this is mostly older people, they'll ask me questions on things, like riddles or quizes, maybe on Indian history, western philosophy or whatever the guy is interested in, and they don't want you to win or be overly smart, they want you to get one out of a few wrong so they get to talk and talk about things. Fortunately for me I grew up around these people and my dad is a guy like this, and so basically I like to think of my job as more like an amusing jester to ultra ultra rich people.

For example, an old guy I know, he's REALLY into persian history. I already knew how to read and write urdu to a level, and I always play my hand to my strength, I knew this guy would love it if I could read and understand his nastaliq farsi caligraphy that he's bought and hung on his office walls, so before meeting him I researched well on rumi and whatnot and particularly stalked him on instagram and his kids to see what I could find and eventually when I met him, things happened as they do in conversation and he was pleasantly surprised to see that I could read urdu. This and many conversations later he connected me to a scholarship grant that his cousin runs and encouraged me to apply if i ever pursue a masters later on (Im technically still doing my bachelors right now)
I dont lie to these people, not really, I mean theres some that i cannot connect well with but I have a lot of interests and I try to see what pattern matches with whom, and how I can be of service and a good conversationalist to them. And honestly I really like doing this, I dont have many friends either so I spend my time mostly talking to people older than me
