In 2016, he laid the foundation stone for the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital (HBCH) and the Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Cancer Centre (MPMMCC).
In 2018, Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital (HBCH) became operational with 179 beds.
In 2019, the Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Cancer Centre (MPMMCC) was commissioned with 352 beds.
Since then, more than 1.54 lakh cancer patients have been treated at these hospitals, and over 83,000 cancer surgeries have been performed.
Both hospitals are run by the Department of Atomic Energy under PM Narendra Modi.
