The Delhi high court on Tuesday refused to urgently list a petition alleging excessive use of force by Delhi Police against students during the CJP’s 'Sansad Chalo' march.
HC has ordered that the matter would be heard on Wednesday.
When the plea was mentioned for urgent listing, a bench of chief justice DK Upadhyaya and justice Tejas Karia remarked, "Don't drag the court into all this."
The petition alleges that police used excessive force to stop protesters from marching towards Parliament, while Delhi Police has denied allegations of assault, including claims that activist Sonam Wangchuk's wife Gitanjali J Angmo was manhandled.
