FIFA has tried a very long time to enter the Indian market and been pouring some money into it by marketting soccer, pubbing and worshipping random soccer stars as a Western thing.
Being a pro soccer player requires you to start as a child and risk your entire future on it. Indian parents aren't willing to do that.
And the Indians who statistically could become good soccer players simply don't play it. Being a sportsperson is a bad life choice not only in India but worldwide.
Guess who makes money from the merchandise, its mostly FIFA jews who own all rights on the merch.
At least when people buy cricket merch the money goes into Indian hands
