I used to be a firm believer of Eastern Toilet supremacy but since we got a western one installed a few years back, honestly I kinda get it now. Its way more comfy east to keep clean. You just need to get used to folding yourself close to your legs so to relax the muscles. It wouldn't make sense outside of your home tho since strangers sit on it with their bare bottoms. Yuck.

Carry toilet paper with you and cover the rim. Also don't use the seat when taking a shit. Always sit on the rim. Helps to get a better shitting pose by raising your heels and knees
