Till now India has most Olympic Gold Medals in Field Hockey and Pakistan has most Field Hockey World Cups. All went south after timmies replaced sovl grass hockey pitches with astroturf and since 1990s neither country won anything. Also cricket became famous but we were damn good at Hockey till then.

Doesn't matter whether India wins at cricket or not. BCCI is owned and run by Indian Hindus.
Anybody who wants to play market or do anything with the sport, has to pay their dues and the tax/share of it to BCCI or they won't get any coverage.
