The demographic shifted heavily due to the fact that bengali hindus clearly had a very deluded sense of regional unity. Kashmiriat, Ganga Jamuni Tehzeeb, Joy Bangla are all great example of it. Its fine to have that kind of regional identity "when" there is no form of foreign parasite at play.
