Some of the therapists I recently had an opportunity to interact with are somewhat bad yaar. They are trained to tell you "I empathize with what you are going through, thank you for sharing that information!" and then repeat the exact thing you told them in their own words, then they start to fill the time with whatever fancy (right now too normal and boring) terms like CBT, Narrative, etc.
At this point, ChatGPT is more effective as a therapist than them, but I won't deny that some times the things they said had been helpful, not always but like 10% of the time.
The most cringe therapist I got to interact with is this overly cheery and loud and thinks-she-farts-rainbows kind of girl that was telling me that I am a lesbian because I said I don't relate to the male experience. I tried to talk about Euphoria Rue and how she is more relatable to me but she kept bringing up Jules tranny as if she never saw season 3.
Also, look at them, all young, happy. How are they going to help with problems like mine?
