i went for "internship" today and i dont know about internship but i saw scale today. the scale at which manufacturing and assembly and testing is happening and this is just one of 5? plant. just too crazy. and ofcourse there is hiring on contractual basis for production line so i am not even sure how there are "NEET" cause most of new hires for manufacturing just diplomacels they were being taught how to do stuff. My internship is in IT under manager for just namesake. for 1 month i can do whatever i want. wander anywhere i want to and i dont really have any work and shit. its all for certificate. one day i would like to take experience in working on shop floor in any big plant. i will take this endeavour when i feel i want a career break or shit like that and work shifts arent buckbreaking either. they are 8 hour shifts with 30 minute lunch break.
There's something called NAPS. Basically, government refunds 30% I think, or 50%, I'm not sure, of the salary a company has to pay to hire trainees and kick them out for a year. Small factories use this to just hire and spit out people every year. They also get refunds for promoting CSR, community service or something, activities like going to schools or colleges and speaking, hiring interns, building gardens etc. They have to satisfy some conditions to get tax cuts if I'm right, same with hiring women.
You're probably just there for them to satisfy the criteria to get a tax cut as well, and all those diplomacels are there for that too. No permanent hiring happens in manufacturing units unless you're from big places or part of a big posting at this point.

Not necessarily yaar.
You can see news paper job postings for these positions, usually written in local language asking for VMC or CNC operator experienced people. Ironically, diploma is not so popular anymore because engineering education has become cheap and accessible now so you'll mostly find boomers and old people in these positions. At least that's how things are in the south. These are painful jobs. You can't even go urinate in peace, and there's noise and dust and everything all around like you said, just 30 minutes and 8 hours. They'll all try to move to quality or design or just study part-time bachelors and get some better job.
