Because there isn't enough mainstream support for it. The people with the biggest audiences either don't know much about the Vedas or have no incentive to promote them. Mainstream forms of Hinduism are simply more established and, in many cases, more profitable.
If you actually read the Vedas, outside of sacrifices and ritual offerings, there isn't much emphasis on constant monetary transactions.
Most popular religious influencers don't even discuss what living according to the Vedas at a practical, day-to-day level would actually look like.
And be honest would you personally live that life? Learn the hymns, perform the rituals, maintain the discipline, and organize your life around it? For most people, the answer is probably no. Everyone wants someone else to take the first step.
