This movie is so bad. I watched it as I remembered the promotion of it and just people talking about it being good. Why did it start off him trying to rape someone... the whole movie was so bad it was just excusing hot tempered men. When bollywood tries to be more modern they do it in a very odd way where they have to over sexualise everything, like they only thing they spoke about to their parents about the relationship, which they were against, was them fucking all the time and even counted it 😵💫. Don't get me started on how annoying the female lead was, he fell in love with a freshman whilst he was doing his masters and the women was silent the whole movie until she started shouting about fucking him to her parents. half star because the music was really good and shahid kapoor is an incredible actor but what the hell. WHY WASTE SUCH A GOOD SOUNDTRACK ON SUCH A BAD MOVIE. WHY DO PEOPLE EVEN LIKE KABIR WHY IS PREETI EVEN IN LOVE WITH HIM IM SO CONFUSED?? WHY DOES EVERYONE REVOLVE AROUND HIM HOW DO YOU DECIDE TO NOT GIVE THE LOVE INTEREST A PERSONALITY. the concept of this movie is utilised so badly and portrays its true message so blatantly wrong that it only comes off as men bullying and isolating women into relationships and causing them to become financially and emotionally dependent on them is allowed and normalised in our society. this also pisses me off cause the concept of having mental and emotional issues and being ‘mad in love’ with someone the world won’t let you be with is an interesting plot line. the lost potential of a character study on kabir singh and the people around him has become a film about kabir’s belief that everything revolves around him including the lives of everyone that loves to excuse this manchild’s behaviour.
