If you don't read and write enough, you will lose touch with yourself and with actually useful things. If you dont maintain yourself in writing, you will not even understand where you are going and who you are becoming without conscious awareness of your own thoughts (often easily done through writing) If you don't read, you will keep entertaining surface level arguments about EVERYTHING your entire life, you will never advance to level 2 on most important things (things which concern you but you don't read about them) Please, stop scrolling twitter insta whatever, and just read, if not reading, just write. You will feel better and you'll be able to take control of your life.

They're better than scrolling the internet which will just pull you into cheap fights and arguments in your head. Maintaining yourself through writing, as in, keeping a document open at all times when possible, writing inbetween tasks or whatever, is very, very fruitful, it's going to help you solve many of your problems, it will change your perspective and it will change you, if you actually keep in touch with yourself. I do recommend meditation but thats hard to do for most people. Prayer is also a good alternative if you find that you cannot meditate.
>>257714 Took your advice and made a folder called journal, am writing a text file with notepad dailly. Today is day 1, I wrote like 1.3K words, stream of consciousness style, It was really nice, and I felt that I gained something. I could be far more honest and explicit and intimate with typing on a screen that with a notebook, I've tried journalling in the past, but the risk of a parent or freind discovering it was too much.
