I wish to be 21 again.
I took life too seriously.
Its too easy.
Just limit everything and work in small steps towards you goal.
I just wasted my time trying to grind up locked in my room.
I thought my tomorrow will be brighter if I stay inside all day.
I just missed the brightness of now chasing it for tomorrow.

all I can is whatever is your goal dont spend 100% of your time on it. I don't mean you should waste your time. Just live your life a bit too while you are grinding for your goals.
For eg :
My goal was getting better salary. For that I needed to pass interview. For that I had to study. So I locked myself in. I stopped spending money (when I was still young). Still the money got wasted somewhere. I literally did nothing for years except grinding and day dreaming.
And I'm sure my mind is not that sharp as other kids. So it takes me 2-3 times the effort of any smart kid to learn stuff.
Instead of locking myself I should have learng bike and bought one. Travel places in weekends. Talk with people around me. Eat out at new place once every weekend. Etc etc
I stayed in one city for 2 years. Only when I left it did I realize what I have done. I didnt explore it or try it. I cried when I saw the shops , places , people while leaving in bus.
I could have achieved the same thing by doing pomodoro technique and spending just 4 hours for learning and rest for living life.
I have some compulsive disorder prob.
My advice applies to me. Idk if it applies to yoy.

Anylzing the past for rights and wrong is a rookie mistake.
Sorry to say anon, but i think life is going to humble you more till you learn to accept yourself.
Eveyday you learn something new, new kinda thoughts, new thinking patterns and so on. you can not use, could not have used the knowledge you have today in the past. But the mind loves playing this game.
Retrofitting the past with the understanding you only got today
Accept yourself, love yourself and do the best you can. Cringe line i know but just try to be better than u were yesterday.
Look up reddit zero day post if u want a framework.
The 4 Pillars / Rules of "No Zero Days"
• 1. Rule 1: No More Zero Days
You must do at least one small action or contribution toward your goals every single day before midnight. It does not have to be a massive 5-hour work block; a single push-up, writing one sentence, or reading one page keeps the chain alive.
• 2. Rule 2: Be Grateful to the 3 "You's" (Past, Present, and Future)
• Past You: Acknowledge and thank the past version of yourself for the good choices they made.
• Present You: Act right now so you build immediate agency.
• Future You: Treat your future self like a best friend by doing favors for them today (e.g., prepping your workspace or finishing a small task so tomorrow is easier).
• 3. Rule 3: Forgive Yourself
If you slip up, drop the guilt, shame, or self-hate immediately. Carrying disappointment lowers your energy and leads to more wasted days; give yourself a clean slate and keep moving.
• 4. Rule 4: Exercise and Read Books
• Exercise: Physical movement clears your mind, boosts mood, and builds physical capability.
• Reading: Feeding your mind lets you leverage the hard-won solutions and wisdom that other people have already written down.

Thank you senior I relate to your situation.
I haven't explored the city i live in.
I haven't gone to movies.
I haven't met my friends since a year.
I need to change that.
But senior whenever I plan out a basic layout on i should do today I do it instantly but when it comes time for execution like actually studying I sit in front of my laptop and an intense urge comes over me shouting " no don't start, get away from here" and that urge is scary does this happen to you ? Planning stage is easy part and everyone does that and in implementation I suffer from that freeze or whatever you call.

No you are wrong i think my younger self was smarter than current me the lack of social contact with The world made my cunningness dull. I could have seen. That trap a minister earlier if I was a guy I was when I was young.
I honestly believe if my younger self was here he would be the man of action whereas I'm a man of inaction.
