Pajeets were caught by surprise, they thought it is just a routine incursion to test their will, so they marched in a tight herd with their CO to talk, but got fucking annihilated, surrounded, and many were captured.
It is unlikely that they could've caused that many casualties, and taken a smaller number themselves in all those conditions.
