Sounds stupid, is stupid until it actually works. Ive been writing, digitally and analog although as cool as journaling in a notebook is, I still prefer digital - purely for the sake search-ease and just clear data.
Ive been doing two things, writing consistently, and praying at moments I need to, and its been great. With writing, actually I think, writing is really just an interface for your mind entirely, its like using your mind as a machine, and you know how you have loops and spirals and negative thought patterns, you can essentially, with writing that brings awareness, wipe that out, change yourself by observation alone.
Prayer is something else, Ill write more about prayer someday once I develop a good stance on it, because what im doing is just quite strange.

Yup writing is a very good habit to have, it shows you where you're wrong. I wrote for about 1½ months and it's been almost 1 month since I abandoned it and now I feel like shit and unaware of time. I used to feel aware when I did it, aware of my mistakes which kinda felt bad, ig that's why my brain tricked me into stopping it. Need.to start again, acknowledge past mistakes and learn to get over it.

Last night before bed I prayed for a long, long moment and it brought so much peace and clarity to me, it always starts off with speech and gratitude or whatever but in the end it turns into actual complete silence and reverence, truly it is silent, like meditation, but Ill be honest, I cannot meditate but I can pray much well, and prayer brings me immediate result almost, I can pray for strength and pray for patience or whatever and I receive mentally clarity instantly.
Its one of those things, that Id have shit on were I younger, and its one of those things, that from my description will seem utterly useless to you, because unless you experience it, you cant see its benefits.
Truly sincere prayer, not begging, prayer when begged is basically communicating lack intensely, when you pray sincerely with patience and gratitude (yes I hate saying it too) it genuinely works.
If I feel tired and I dont want to do something, I pray for a moment, If Im scared, Ill pray, if I feel good Ill pray too, if I miss him, Ill pray for him

Not my image but I stayed with a family who had an old school mac once, it was cool. Id buy the screen but I cant stand Mac IOS for desktop usage.

Law of assumption
>What OS do you use btw?
I have two laptops, I use linux on one (im new to linux) and windows on my work laptop, I also have a desktop but im an entire sea apart from it right now, windows on that
>>244960
Which distro?
I know I'm asking a bit too many questions but you interest me anon. I'd like to know more about you.
Also what's your philosophy behind using computers and the tools In your everyday life?
>>244969
Cant disclose it but it is highly creative.
>>244975
I use CachyOs mainly but Ive experimented with Ricing for aesthetics. I used linux for my main build, Its annoying that I cant use adobe but there's work arounds and its dualboot anyway.
The thing is I've developed habits and needs like writing or shit and I prefer to have infrastructure thats quiet. But I keep a sync on everything between devices anyway.
I dont have a tool philosophy so much as I have a usage or a overall philosophy, of maintaining awareness when possible for example, of a general sense of unbroken positivity
>>245005
tbh I dont love linux, the effort it takes is not worth the outcome, you could easily just open obsidian or other apps and sit on them all day. I get why people dont like windows, windows is its own pain, but linux is a bigger pain.

>I have a usage or a overall philosophy, of maintaining awareness when possible for example, of a general sense of unbroken positivity
I couldn't have framed that better, trying (failed mostly) to do the same with my life
>>245008
>you could easily just open obsidian or other apps and sit on them all day.
What program do you use for note taking? Obsidian?
>>245010
I used to hate notion and obsidian because the people who get into these apps are people who think itll be of use. The connection feature, the many other features are all useless, but I use obsidian a lot now, simply because it looks okay and Ive built some customizations into it.
I wouldnt even call it notetaking because im not doing it to learn things, its just brain interfacing
>>245022
I have my own prompts and methods. Essentially I always start off with a Context dump, of everything on my mind, then I write whatever I want, and I also discovered something amazing.
I read a post here on Inch about a guy with dual consciousness, and I was so intrigued by that idea that I wanted to try it, but accidentally I discovered a better way to write thoughts, was to actually have a dialogue with yourself, I use different colored fonts (switching is automatic) and whenever im stuck or I need help I just go there, and it usually always works out.
I realized that its been a long long time since I ever went to another human being for emotional support (like a dire need, not just casual) because I figured out how to handle my own emotions and my own problems, in a way its writing but deeper than writing its the simple idea of being aware and conscious enough, and not engaging in things that take away your consciousness to numb you.
>>245026
>and not engaging in things that take away your consciousness to numb you.
that's always the hardest part for me.
>>245029
Damn you're literally playing disco elysium with yourself. How can I learn and cultivate this skill sensei, how to start?
>>245029
It looks entirely crazy (not really, I mean some of you might claim it is so im >in4ing you) but this has led to major realizations and practical breakthrough in life, 3 voices working together.
Its like asking an Ai for advice but the good part is that its all inside your head, so you can pull entirely specific information, and the solution are catered 1:1
>>245030
>and not engaging in things that take away your consciousness to numb you.>that's always the hardest part for me.
I dont watch reels or masturbate (without some examination of urges) much anymore, I avoid doing things that numb me, and I always keep obsidian or a book open, even when travelling, its a replacement.
>Damn you're literally playing disco elysium with yourself. How can I learn and cultivate this skill sensei, how to start?
Ah, yea, thats a much more simpler and a much more cringe interpretation of me but you're right, Ive always, done this, in some sense, we all talk to ourselves, Ive had vivid memories of talking to myself, I kept people, characters or just me inside my mind, even when younger I used to have an imagined room, with a fireplace and everything where at night Id discuss things with myself.
This is compartmentalization or just perspective. Writing things down makes it concrete, its not just for storage but its for shaping, the physical act of communication produces clarity that thoughts often dont have, even bothersome thoughts become clear and easier to understand, and then it adds awareness.
I dont recommend this, not because it doesnt work but, its something I found myself, and so it works wonderfully, you may try it and just get bored, you need to find a way to interface with your own self, and figure out yourself, you are welcome to ask or try any of these methods ofc, but you'll find that you already have something that works for you if you look hard enough
>>245033
Yeah you're right, not everything works for everyone. I just need to fuck around and find out ig.
What I do need to stop is using imageboards and gooning to numb my brain. I too talk to myself like everyone else and have inner monologues but the thing is it wants the best for me and I just keep beating myself over it instead of doing something to fix it. So to just escape this voice that tells me "you're not good enough and not where I'm supposed to be by now" I look for stuff to numb my inner voice. And I feel like shit when I do it. Being sober with my thoughts makes me feel like shit if I don't do anything to fix it, but to fix that I need to exert effort which my monkey brain doesn't like...
It's like juggling between my shaitan brain and my rational brain. And like a pendulum I just keep swinging between them.
I should consciously try to bring out the rational part by staying in reality and staying concious.
Another wake up call, what matters is if I manage to change. You just need to negotiate with yourself to do your own bidding. Kinda funny how God made our little brain.
>>245042
fascinating...
>>245043
A keypoint with inner voices is that you need to install better judgement before you listen to yourself, it took me 2 years to change how my baseline works, even in dreams or unconscious states there remains faith and good spirit. If you are kind and calm to yourself, your brain and subcon will produce thoughts that work for you.
>>245047

>If you are kind and calm to yourself, your brain and subcon will produce thoughts that work for you.
Wish it was as easy as it sounds. Anyways, I just need to consciously need to fix my brain. Until then both will change.
>>245059
its not easy but it worked for me, the good thing is you can genuinely change your outlook of life and itll be a +2 buff on your life, forever
