Have any of you got a friend via the 'chans? Or discord/telegram/whatever. I've always romanticised the idea of having a true online friend. When my dad was a kid, he had a pen-pal in brazil. They got each others contacts via sputnik magazine or something, and would send mail to each other.
you can't have friends post 2019 or when your get past 14. there's no such thing as friends and companionship is a meme in this era. the more you get used to it the less suifuel you'd feel

They had some russian magazines, you could mail the magazine and they would put your address and your name and some other details about yourself. And other people can see it and send you international mail.
