how many of you never saw your dada or nana ever in life? i have never seen my dada because my father got sidelined by his brothers and we didn't get along well, so my family didn't ever took me to their home.

My grandfather had a brain stroke when I was 9 years old and suffered with dementia for 9 years until his death.
I have very little to no memory about how he was before dementia but I remember him being a staunch bhakt of Aasaram Bapu and smoking lots of bheedis
He worked for a Pasari (village hakeem who sits under a tree and gives you gharelu nuskha) in Sindhi. Migrated to India in early 1970s with his wife, mother and 3 daughters at the time.
Opened a Masale ki dukaan here but didn't earn much to support his 7 children. So elder sisters used to do Silaai-bunai and sell bhel in local melas

my dada came during partition from pak-punjab(rajanpur)and had 7 kids, 4 son, 3 daughters, 1 daughter is dead and already went senile as she was rejected in rishtas many times. altho my dada gained good wealth by having general grocery store(which is worth2-3crore in market now) but all his sons except one(my baap) got educated and worked in white collar work and built some decent assets and fortunately we don't live in tier 3 hellhole due to that.
