Even if you make it to IIT, you'll have to be the top of your class of elite grinders. Only then you'll make it. The chances get reduced even more. The filtering doesn't stop even when you make it to IIT.

Im not a enginigger. I have no bias in this game, so I can assess your chances of success in getting a top internship better than any inchcel ( internship not even a guaranteed job btw) . So you got around 180 of these 'selected' out of around 1045 cse undergraduates (adding all cse undergrad students taken in a year in iitb,iitd,iitk, iitkgp, iitm, iitr and bits pilani). You have a <1% chance of getting selected from a particular college.
This is cherrypicking. By your logic the other 119/120 in iitb is not good enough coz he didnt become top goy. In a quest to be top wagie, this is just a game of chance. You have 100x better chances of getting in a usa engineering ug and then go to a quant. Which is also easier btw
