does this suggest they are going to make exiting investments difficult in one way or the other because they are spooked that if people start selling it will fall hard
>>234663 probably for the FPIs/FIIs. they've been getting a lot of new ideas from the chinese lately and it's a chinese monetary strategy to try and keep all investments locked into the chinese economy.
>>234668 interesting it is insane how bags have been given to the retail in the form of big IPOs of NYKAA ZOMATO PAYTM and the likes
>>234669 The VCs and all those have exited these companies at profits and left the bags for the pajeet retailer who wagecels hard all day and gets salary at the end of the month, and then buys the stocks of these loss making doomed companies fucking kek
>>234669 you forgot lenskart. all of them practically enjoy a duopolistic oligopoly in their sectors but the market is still deep and improving (incomes continue to rise). so, there is a notion that you can invest in a mature and settled, non-disruptive market dynamic while continuing to enjoy the growth that a developing market confers. >>234670 they've been on a solid bull-run for several decades (perhaps the longest in history) so, it's natural that they're cashing-out now but it doesn't help the situation that there's now legitimate competition and pressure from the developed economies for them to do so.
>>234670 >loss making doomed companies none of them are loss making, forget about doomed.
>>234682 they have barely shown any profits, that too in the last 2 or 3 quarters, overall they are at HUGE losses, and they do not have the business model that can generate the kind of profits even 5 years down the line that justifies their current valuation >>234680 >lenskart yeah that too, and there is SWIGGY of course there might be a few other names as well
>>234686 >they have barely shown any profits, that too in the last 2 or 3 quarters, overall they are at HUGE losses this is, just, completely untrue. we can take an example if you want and i'll show you how they're all doing rather healthy. problem with indian equities is that EVERYBODY understands their value and the indian middle-class likes to invest in the stock market but there are, just, too few tickers to go around. for example, lenskart's P/E ratio right now is 169. the market is already valuing lenskart's stock as 169 times of its annual PAT. this is the main problem. everyone and their mother is already fucking cruising on this bandwagon. for comparison, the average PE of a stock listed at the NYSE is ~35. this is the real brvtality. everyone already knows what these things are worth, and so do they. this is unironically sucking-up a lot of investments from sunrise sectors that the government wants to promote (manufacturing, infrastructure, solar, drones, defence, etc.).

>>234701 just look at this fucking growth. the company fucking 10xed over a period of 6 years AND became consistently profitable at-scale. nowhere else in the world is this happening right now, except for maybe AI in the USA.
