AI or llms or whatever you choose to call it is what someone would call science fiction 50 years ago
One of the reasons I got why ai is bad is this :
Mathematics doesn't work like that, Mathematics is not about numbers. Rather about the process which is used to build new math, and a new process of thinking which is then used to do all sorts of work from physics, chemistry, engineering etc. Moreover checking so many AI solutions requires an enormous amount of peer review which requires time. Thus creating an extra burden on the community and effects real research. And for the first time in the history of Science, we are at the risk of filling our knowledge base with jargon. Probably even wrong results. This all is contamination. We are doomed.
