From the British to the Baniya - Bimaru alliance, for almost two centuries bengal has been looted.

As a result post independence these communities had the ownership of an industry which required scientific understanding. Since they have been traders, not capitalists, they eventually ruined the engineering sector in India and never invested in research and development.

Then the center slashed tax spending for west bengal by half and increased for gujarat, maharashtra and tamil nadu.
