Kashmir is a lost cause, we should just heavily fortify Siachen, parts of kashmir and then give the majority of the rest freedom. The moment a state stops being majority Hindu, that state is lost, forever. No amount of stick and carrot treatment is going to work and Hindu tfr isn't going to offset Muslim tfr in same economic class so any fantasy of taking it back by demographics is a pipe dream. Almost all separatist movement was spearheaded by a non hindu - be it commie atheists in dumeel nadu or sikhs in coonjab or Christians in nagaland or muzzies in kashmir.
