i have been reading about inventors and inventions, and have found out that many of groundbreaking inventions were done by literal amateurs, most of whom never even finished basic schooling, let alone go to college.
Example - Airplane, wright brothers were high school dropouts who ran a mechanic shop fixing bicycles
Another Example - Compound Microscope, hans and zacharias jansen, poorfag street peddler baap and beta, messing with tubes and glasses for fun, they later became opticians
Another Example - Antoine van Leewenhoek, had no formal education, did not know latin which was the academic language of that time, his baap was a basket weaver and he was cloth merchant
