I would be happy just living in a small 2 BHK house/apartment working a remote job for maybe minimal salary to maintain that lifestyle with my homebody house wife and maybe have 2 kids at most - a boy and a girl.
india has no upward mobility and there's a dearth of middle income jobs. you WILL end up as a poor bastard sending your kids to vidyashree sagar vidyalaya and your wife will be chopped as fuck.
in india it's always better to strive for the best job rather than romanticising the middle class (which does not exist).
the closest thing you'll get to this is an LDC through SSC CHSL, finances make sense because of DA and lesser working hours. An X-tier city with low living expenses would be Kolkata ig.
