If consciousness isn't something attacked to soul because it doesn't exist at all, it will mean that your conscious experience isn't unique.
Which also answers the question, what makes you unique if the same bio structure of your brain is copied. The answer can be nothing except just different physical matter.

>If consciousness isn't something attached to soul<because it doesn't exist at all,>it will mean that your conscious experience isn't unique.
Lets, assume for sake of the argument that soul does not exist at all for entire thread and then operate with that as our ground, from this point onwards. If someone chooses to claim otherwise, it is thread derailment, or person with lack of literacy.
>Which also answers the question,
? Not sure what you meant by this, dif you perhaps intend "Which begs the question" instead?
>what makes you unique if the same bio structure of your brain is copied.>The answer can be nothing except just different physical matter.
Coulf you present a case of what is it you mean by bio structure of the brain being copied in this instance? For an example, bio structure of the brian and material use are almost directly influential to each other.
Hypothetically speaking unless we can perform constant where you can present two exact clones, who had same nature and nurture for this case. These clones wilk have same dna that will make their genes code them the same way.
If raised with the same precise simulation and nutrition, it is fair to say they will be identical. If that is truly the case there will be no difference in matter and bio structure, what will be left to see is, if the said conciousness of these two entities diverge from each other.
no, its not, i don't believe in existence of soul, even then individual experiences are entirely unique for everyone. there is a reason why some people have innate talent for "X". if you are smart enough you would understand this.
>>178689
soul doesn't even mean anything, it is loosely thrown word. what do you even my soul? and even if soul is there why would it not be unique or why does it have to be unique?
>>178693
our experiences aren't just shaped by genetics, brain or body but by circumstances which keep changing with time, so yea, it wouldn't be same since circumstances
damn, i just realised, circumstances
what if we keep circumstances as same always. will experiences be same always.
>>178674
>Coulf you present a case of what is it you mean by bio structure of the brain being copied in this instance?
Ofcourse it's not possible in currently, but physics allows to copy your current brain structure such that the copy is you. Such brain matter also gives rise to consciousness. That matter also feels that's it's 'you' . Which means that 'your' 'you' is just the physical matter.
Also to think about it, i also read somewhere that human body replaces each and every cell. So is every newron in your brain is replaced with a new one, but in the exact same structure but new matter, you remain the same. This even questions continuity. Is continuity an illusion too?
>>178711
>Which means that 'your' 'you' is just the physical matter.
Agreed here, atleast on the line many philosophies have a notion that soul has no concept of an "i" but only "am".
>>178674
I get that you're point it about consciousness diverging if the matter is copied.
So take into account the point about the Brain newrons replacement but in the same structure thing.
>>178711
>you remain the same
That actually brings the question, what is exactly validating the said continuity in the first place. Is it the current material, wooden plank on the ship? Or is it the mental image and the idea with which the ship was made? Does not brain itseld preserve some form of blue print upon which the said structure is replicated again, without it losing anything it held untill now in the process?
>>178715
However if we copy source code if the said being even the genes that will be also responsible for replacement of the said material that makes being of entity (cells) will be same (nature) if we give them same nourishment as well as (nurture). So that is a constant not a variable.
If these constant are stable, only what stays a variable will be definitive in what makes "i" thus conciousness of a being, in the absense of sovl.
>>178653
>attached to soul
Soul doesnt exist, your existence is enough to precede your essence on this planet/nature.
>what makes you unique
Background, Caste, Financial Situations, Skin Color, Body Specs & Genetics, Illness, Location, Food Intake, School, Education, Environment, Society, Porn Categories, WINS & LOSTS, Competition, SIblings, Ambition, Random Interactions, Some Evolution your lineage perfected in like staying away from snakes, milk tolerance etc., and idk how many things that add ups to this
>>178711
>physics allows to copy your current brain structure such that the copy is you.
idts that's true, that you can copy all of that structure atom by atom.
>>178716
you sound very astrological, that there's some celestial objects manipulates our brain blueprint to build our fate in this reality
>>178717
What shapes a human brain is the stimuli from external environment and genetic, being itself a product of the former.
And yes this problem is wooden plank ship.
If every neuron is replaced in same structure but with different material, and the continuity is still felt, it most likely proves that consciousness is an illusion.
>>178722
I mean unique in the sense when your brain replaces each of the neurons physically, but you still feel the same. What makes you believe that you're actually 'you' ?
>>178722
>that there's some celestial objects manipulates our brain blueprint to build our fate in this reality
No, on thr contrary. Even in lack of the soul our brain probably follows some form of blue print. When body heals, it tries to replicate a structure that is meant to be. I think its fair to say we do not lose a part of us really, with the replacement of cells since we as the multicellular beings like preserve the said material with us, somehow with no external or celestial force at play, all on biological level.
>>178726
>And yes this problem is wooden plank ship.
But is it? Why do we assume or roll with idea that the ship can only be the ship if this exact material was used as it was deployed? What if when it was made by the shipwright, it did not end up having whar was intended in the blueprint? What if it eas added later over time. I think its not the physical material itself, as much as idea that is behind it, but material itseld had to be loyal to the said idea.
Though that is only me claiming even in the lack of soul, both in terms of the biology and philosphy continuity is a matter of unobjectable truth. I do not know if conciousness under the fact that soul does not exist, is real or not for certanity.
i dont think Genetica are quote on quote product of environment either. Genes are random, and pressure from environment can play a part but also olay no part at all. Biology can be bit both incredibly smart but insanely stupid at same time.
Only way to confirm it for sure is to record conciousness itself, in the way where bo changes can occur in the material (nothing degrades) and the ability to learn is preserved ti see if running ut parallel to real entity who too will grow but have his planks (cell) replaced naturally with time, show a variation in conciousness.
>>178731
>What makes you believe that you're actually 'you' ?
I guess gradual shift, if you are asking "you" being "you" effectively means "it is not (not you) thus", because the changes happen so slowly, it feels like seamless experience and we do not notice when last fragmenr of what we were as we were left us. Thar is first case, alternative is that we do not notice it because there actually is no change in "conciousness" that itself is different from neurons, as memory as in contents is different RAM and the hard disk we have to store it, even if we replace the physical material the content stays.
