If I were a colonel I'd ban all personal devices for everyone no matter the rank, except for those who work in signals/int or have actual experience with tech. For any other communications use hardened military equipment. Russians in the initial stages were allowing their soldiers to use their personal phones to call home, and got rekt by artillery, so they took away all their phones.
