problem with copetards is that they literally cannot understand OpenAI and Anthropic are currently running labs with the biggest compute in the world, they just have to hire bunch of mathematicians working on these frontier problems and give them access to their internal models.
Many problems in Math and Engineering are about compute.
I knew AI was a massive thing the moment demis hassabis won the nobel prize for his work on AlphaFold which revealed 3D protein structures, for the first time a computer scientist had won a Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
What these labs are doing is more regarding compute, thats what it really is, it is a new engineering paradigm where you basically create computer systems and models that solve such problems where compute was the issue.
