I remember that case with MMS. Devyani Khobragade
It was a lady who had 1. faked a SC ST certificate (she had a father who also claimed to be SC ST and whose entire IAS career was based on that) 2. used to abuse their maid while in the US and underpay them for no reason ... other than being greedy 3. after the whole ordeal she didn't get sacked but transferred to Cambodia (where she is until today)

Khobragade is the reason why Indians in the US can't hire maids from india anymore kek And even in other countries its very difficult to get Indian maids due to this incident
her family basically pulled the ladder for an entire class of people who might have profitted from it
