For almost a week I thought there's something wrong with my router.. turned out my pc wifi adopter was single band, after getting this new dual band wifi adaptor I never aced any connection and speed issue.
I called that installation guy so many times in past week, like 4-5 calls a day complaining and almost harassing him for giving me a "bad router"
I feel sorry for him now, I am thinking to call him and tell him that actual issue was my pc adaptor

if you want good connection, you get fiber directly to your router, and then an Ethernet cable from your router to your PC
the towers you are touting are getting their network from a fiber, not from thin air
