Mughals had habit of giving persian names to everything. Theres no mention of biryani in iran.

Yeah thats what mughals called it after arriving in india. They gave it a persian name. There is actually no dish named biryani in iran or anywhere else outside india. Biryani is indian dish cooked with indian spices.
