>be me>travelling>was stuck without working data and internet for 10 days or so>thankfully had my kindle>finished many books, reading much more>got internet today>open inch, insta, twitter>day ruined
I know this is an age old complaint from many folk, but giving up communications and simply having a set of curated media to watch really, is such a privilege. Ofcourse a person may never do it themselves and the situation has to be forced upon them.

Also I’ve been reading so, so much on certain topics that I can almost envision conversation with the authors and sit with them. Every book im reading slowly changes everything around me. True immersion, like the sort one would only find in a school library

I dont know how, or why, but I have a feeling that I should give up the internet.
Ofc Ive attempted this many times, many strategies and many methods and tricks but nothing works the way force works. I’d accepted that Id remain on the internet online forever, and infact, I dont even really cur any negative effect from the internet (except for Instagram, which if I ever installed the app seriously, would wreck my psyche) Inch is very low weight in terms of its effects on the mind, low quality stupid bait, and frankly without algorithms picking your weak points, you can easily just dismiss most of this site, so in turn this becomes a playground for me to come and post in, a creative outlet for my thoughts and writings, which will be instantly viewed and seen by humans, who will ofcourse try to bait me (cheaply) or argue with me, which I welcome.
But it is still not, peaceful enough. Inch is closer to a book than twitter and twitter is okay, just about okay, fun edits and funny tweets, and some cheap African slop bait, also keep up with the world? Instagram is where I feel horrible, because I’ve genuinely never been able to keep that app on my phone for more than 3 months, it ruins me, and thats good, I purely use it for talking to people and, Ive stopped making reels for now so.
I dont know where im going with this but maybe I should try being a hermit again, atleast internet wise.

Yes, honestly I remember reading books as a kid, they felt so much more immersive, hell shows even. Now it doesn’t hit the same, I just scroll some reels or waste my time here.
