I think its actually biology. According to mahabharata jartikas would have daighters so rarely they will dance and sing and drink if they had one. Most jaats will die of solitude, so having a daughter was considered fortune. I think it might be same now. Untill the sex detection became a thing, they had less daughters overall. Britishers also ruined inheritance laws for them a lot. Some genuinely caring jaat fathers exist out there, probably, i dont know, most jaats i know are male or atleast appear male enough that i cant tell the difference.
