Is Ethanol in petrol really a problem? will the normal petrol still be available or everything will be replaced by high ethanol blends ? I'm annoyed because i have a 20 year old bike
Sorry to hear that ur bike will be trahsed for sure. >Is Ethanol in petrol really a problem? Yes there is a problem. older and even 4 years back vehicles are not rated for more than e10. So any damages will be expected and even denied by insurers. >will the normal petrol still be available or everything will be replaced by high ethanol blends ? The picrel is telling about new type of vehicles not ur old ones flex fuel engines are a seperate engines and should have seperate gas stations like CNG vehicle. Which are for for mainly e85 and e100. And, sadly e30 will be mandatory for all vehicles regardless of their condition in that case u do not have a choice too.
>>12203 >sadly e30 will be mandatory for all vehicles regardless Starting from ?
>>12194 no, t his is like UPI one of the times that India is ahead of the curve Brasil already does it and it helps them offset oil prices by switching to ethanol production and manipulating sugar prices globally its unironically a high IQ move , and i dont even like Gadkari since he looks like a salamander
>>12210 >Brasil already does it and it helps them Does most vehicles in brazil are flex fuel ?
it is all fun and games until you realize ethanol requires sugar which requires sugarcanes which require urea which requires some strait to be open
>>12210 No one has the problem with the idea itself per se. But they have the problem with the speed of execution. brazil did that in the span of 50 years we have been doing it since 5 years back. To make the public and as well as manufacturers absorp the shock without jeopardizing anything. The government did not give a choice for consumers to choose petrol required for their vehicle instead a dictotarial mandate even the cars made in 2023 are incompatible with this new fuel. In Brazil every petrol pump has many nozzles for separate blend fuel i don't see that in India.
>>12213 Not most but significant. But this process led to mass deforestation of Amazon and now the sugarcane lobby is one of the most disruptive lobbies tostop the move of brazil to EV.
>>12218 if u give a choice people will simply min max and choose the cheapest and nothing will change this is a soft push in the right direction that will give india more power and leverage over oil countries in the end producing ethanol is really simple and many things can be converted into it , so it helps disposing waste as well other countries are much more aggressive in that regard when it comes to forcing new things on their population. its just not spoken about because other populations doesnt bitch globally about it like indians do germany for example nuked their own nuclear reactors to force their population into using much more expensive solar energy the electricity costs in Germany have more than tripled , killing off much of their mid-sized industry
