They push content which is as outraging as possible.
Then you are like 100x more likely to interact with it
There was a study showing public outrage causes people like 10x more likely to stay on a social media platform for longer.
Haven't you realized that the BBC/BDL threads, JBW is law threads, caste threads get the most replies and views on this forum?
Also keep in mind that the people posting this content, could actually be fake accounts, hired by the website/social media owner, to post the most outragous things possible.
Then when you reply, they reply to you with even more outrage to get you even more addicted.
That's why I barely use this forum anymore and any social media.
Because I don't want to read public outrage stuff which is physically designed to raise your cortisol and make you want to interact with it.
