Shudras should have nothing to do with hinduism. We aren't allowed to read Vedic scriptures => we can't ensure the Validity of Puranic scriptures and smritis => we can't be sure of their Validity as they aren't revelations like Vedas => we aren't sure of the authority of Puranas and smritis, so they don't apply to us.
