you guys must be new or didn't browse /a/ back on previous iteration/sister site
But I'm indeed referring to Wolf Children and the thread I made about it back then, think of it as continuation of sorts
https://youtu.be/0DRPcpF3VTYhttps://youtu.be/0DRPcpF3VTY
but this video made me think, the way I interpreted the characters and the story and learning more about the director and the kind of shit he was going through before releasing this movie provided tons of insights as to what this story is even telling so if you haven't already please do watch it

I was never loved...
My parents shouldn't have married, let alone have a child.
My father had a previous marriage, he abused her so much she killed herself.
He had two kids with her.
The kids' mother's family took the kids in and blocked my father from taking care of them.
Well he didn't want to anyway...
After a few years he got bored and wanted a woman to do chores for him.
My mother, on the other hand didn't want to marry.
She had been working for a decade, and she was already into some other man...
But her parents wanted her to marry and my father appeared on the scene.
And they got married.
I was born.
I learned to see, hear and understand the world, I realized how much my parents hate each other, and me.
My earliest memory as a child is my father screaming at me for being loud and disturbing his afternoon nap, and my mother stamping my groin with a burning spatula, because I did not tell her I got punished in kindergarten.
My father used to come home late drunk, he used to beat my mother.
The next day, I used to get beaten by my mother.
I remember her yelling, and my father's muttering, that I was the reason for everything bad happening in their life.
The loss of money started after I was born, my father hates my mother because of me, and so on...
I do not talk to them much, now I have grown up.
I was a failure in life because of the circumstances I grew up in, I am a failure now, because I'm nothing but pathetic.
All they do now is acknowledge I exist, for not doing so might hinder their reputation in the family and society.

No
they never loved me. Perhaps they "loved" me, but not in action. You can't love someone and then beat them untill they scream and cry and then go on beating them some more. It's like women and abusive husbands, I kinda get why they still feel as though they are loved despite being beaten.

Yeah, multiple times. Don't think I will ever act on it though, it's not worth it. Getting caught will ruin me for no point. I'll cut them off though once I have made decent money. Fuck 'em.

damn yaar thats depressing to read
I always thought a childbirth is one of the most important chapter of a married life, and if you think about it its pretty scary that you are bringing another life into this world, completely separate from you who will grow to be a person with a life of their own
I feel like many lundian parents cant figure out how much or up until what point they should "guide" then to the point where they completely fail to explore the outside on their own
It gets worse when you realize how minute of a dumb mistake can ruin a childs life especially when the people aren't fit to raise children in the first place
And its funny how rest of the civilized world built thier society in such a manner to optimize the growth and development of youngin's so they could grow up healthy and fulfilled
Compared to that we might be living in un the worst period in human history to marry and have kids, makes me where exactly it went wrong

Tomorrow it will be an year since my suicide attempt.
I am too far gone, I have completely dissociated from reality. I no longer feel that I exist. Everything feels like a dream. Sometimes I hear sounds, mostly my mother screaming or my father yelling.
I try to keep myself occupied to stop drowning into my horrible memories...
My childhood was filled with numerous such abuses.
I needed up a weird kid socially isolated by people. I had no friends either.
Now I am trying to build a life by myself one step at a time.
I'm the /fit/ subhuman btw

Sometimes I wonder if I'm incapable of being loved. Imagine having the people who brought you into this world, outright hate you for existing. I didn't ask for this at all.
I cut my affections for them a long time ago. All I want now I a place where I can sleep without feeling scared.
I hope you find happiness too anon :) <3

I haven't followed up your entire thread but if I recall correctly you're the same anon who mentioned his previous suicide attempt several times across various threads. Good to see you've decided to work on yourself instead of trying to force yourself outwardly. I feel like its a natural place to choose to end up in especially after being mentally scarred so bad. But beyond that do you see yourself being a father of your own children in the future? Would be introspective to know what you think of such prospect given the specific perspective that you hold. If yes then do think you would end up being a better parent or a role model than what your own?

I don't think I'll be a parent tbh.
1. I'm not mature enough to be one
2. I don't think I can deal with such a responsibility.
I probably would be a better parent than my own parents, but that doesn't mean I would be a good parent.
I also do not know how I will handle different situations. When I was a kid, if I ended up being an annoyance, I would be screamed at and beaten up by my father.
If I failed to solve a homework problem quick enough, my mother would hit me with utensils.
I have inherited similar type of anger unfortunately. I have noticed, when I was teaching someone in class, when they did not get a topic which seemed obvious to me, I suddenly felt a flare of frustration and anger.
I'm better at controlling my emotions though.
Also becoming a parent requires a partner, and I'm not really good at forming relationships.
Also being with someone requires way too much effort than I can handle.
